Welcome to Paradise
17 years is a loooong time! For Aliyah and Nav, after dating for all these years, their Arab & Indian fusion destination wedding is a celebration of love in Marathonian proportions. Merging two cultural and religious backgrounds, and taking place in two different countries, it was no easy task to edit together Muslim and Sikh traditions from Canada and Mexico. Oh and it had to be done by the reception as a Same Day Edit, in VanWeddings style, of course!
As applause, laughter, and tears greeted the final seconds of the SDE, we realized that our journey to that moment was not as Herculean as the one Aliyah and Nav took, but we could at least understand the immense joy of seeing the finish line emerge at the end of a Marathon. Here’s to A&N, and many more 17 years to come!
We could not have done this without an all-star lineup of the best wedding vendors anywhere. Shout outs to Harumi at Harumi Signature Weddings & Events, DJ Khanvict at Decibel Entertainment, Denise Dinh makeup, Elvia at Hard Rock Cancun, Hyatt Ziva Cancun for the special shoot permission, and the voice of this film, the amazing Dr. Freedom and Leela who presided over the Sikh ceremony!
