She Is Like Gravity
Most of us need some encouragement and guidance from the photographer and videographer on wedding day – it’s actually one of the hallmarks of a really good photographer or cinematographer – they need to be a cheerleader without pom-poms! Well, on this day we had to do exactly zero coaching for Mahboba and Farhad, in fact Mahboba is simply the most brilliantly confident bride we’ve ever met. We could work with M&F every day and our job would be 50% easier!
While we’ve done a number of Ismaili Muslim weddings, this was our first time shooting at the Richmond Jamatkhana. Even on a rainy day it had awesome light, and we got equally lucky in downtown Vancouver, where the clouds lifted for just a minute and let in some magical sunset rays. Some careful color grading and voila, a shot that money can’t buy! We wrap it up with some beautiful traditional Afghan dancing from the reception, enjoy!
